Our representative will meet you in the arrival area of the airport after you clear all immigration and custom formalities and greets you by offering a *Khada (a traditional ceremonial scarf common in Buddhist culture, it symbolizes purity and compassion).  

Kathmandu is the capital of Nepal the city stands at an elevation of approximately 1,350 meters in the bowl-shaped valley in central Nepal surrounded by four major mountains, namely: Shivapuri, Phulchowki, Nagarjun and Chandragiri. The city rich history is nearly 2000 years old, as inferred from an inscription in the valley its religious affiliations are dominantly Hindu followed by Buddhism. People of other religious beliefs also live in Kathmandu giving it a cosmopolitan culture. Nepali is the common language of the city

After arriving in Kathmandu, visit Boudhanath Stupa and Pashupatinath Temple.

BOUDHANATH: On the outskirt of Kathmandu lies one of the largest spherical stupas in Nepal. This ancient stupa of Boudhanath, on top of a massive mandala, probably is one of the largest in the world. There are over 50 monasteries around it and it was included on the UNESCO World Heritage Site in 1979. It is built on the ages old trade route from Tibet to enter the Kathmandu Valley. Under the wise eyes of Buddha gazing out from the gilded central tower seems to be watching over thousands of pilgrims gather daily to make a kora (ritual circumnavigation) of the dome. In the evening the whole place lights up with butter lamps and the wafting smell of sage gives a calming effect. The stupa is surrounded by building and monasteries. The plaza surrounding the stupa is open for people of all religion. Tibetan monks, elderly, along with other devotees can be seen spinning prayer wheels, chanting mantras, or just strolling in silence around the monument. The Stupa was damaged during the earthquake but has already been reconstructed and opens for tourists from November 2016.

After breakfast at hotel checkout from hotel and drive from Kathmandu to Pokhara 

(Approx. 06 to 07 hours)   

Pokhara is the third largest city in Nepal, located 200km to the west of Kathmandu. Three out of the ten highest mountains in the world, including the renowned Annapurna are within 30 miles of the city, making it Nepal’s top trekking destination. It is an ideal place to relax, take walks in the surrounding hills, or engage in the more energetic pursuits of trekking or white-water rafting.

After breakfast leave for half day sightseeing tour of Pokhara visiting Bindabasini Temple, Devi’s Fall and Tibetan Refugee Camp.

The Bindhyabasini Temple is the oldest temple in the city of Pokhara, Nepal and is located in Miruwa. It regularly attracts a large number of locals, Nepalis from across the country and foreigners alike. The main temple is devoted to goddess Bindhyabasini, a Bhagawati who is the incarnation of Kali.

Devi’s fall: This is a picturesque waterfall close to the Tashiling Tibetan Settlement near Pokhara. When the stream (Pardi Khola) is at full force, especially after a good spell of monsoon rains, the noise of the plunging water is deafening. The lush green surroundings and constant spray of water from the stream will refresh you and rejuvenate your parched eyes and souls. It is also called the Patale Chhango that denotes the point where the stream goes underground.

Tibetan Refugee settlement: There are many Tibetan refugee settlements in and around Pokhara where the Tibetan refugees have set up their lives. These settlements provide employment and sources of income for the refugees many of whom sell souvenirs in the Tibetan markets on the lakeside. You can visit the settlements where you can see the artisans at work, shop for handicrafts, discover the lives of the refugees, and relish a plate of the local favourite snack, momos.

Mahendra Cave is a cave located in Pokhara, close to the Kali khola. It is the large limestone cave. It is a rare example of a cave system in Nepal containing stalagmites and stalactites. The cave attracts thousands of people every year. A statue of Hindu lord Shiva can be found inside the cave

Later visit International Mountain Museum  

This expansive museum is devoted to the mountains of Nepal, the mountaineers who climbed them and the people who call them home. Inside, you can see original gear from many of the first Himalayan ascents, as well as displays on the history, culture, geology, and flora and fauna of the Himalaya. Once you’ve been inspired by the climbers of the past, head outside where there’s a 21m climbing wall and a 9.5m-high climbable model of Mt Manaslu.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a private boat ride on Phewa Lake - the second largest lake in the Kingdom and a centre of attraction in Pokhara.

Drive from Pokhara to Chitwan (Approx. 5 to 6 hours Drive)

The Chitwan National Park lies in the Inner Terai lowlands and consists of Sal forests, tall elephant grasslands, hills, ox-box lakes and flood plains of the Narayani, Rapti and Reu rivers. Enlisted as a UNESCO World Heritage Site (Natural) in 1984, the park spreads over an area of 932 sq.km. The park is home to 56 species of mammals, 49 species of amphibians and reptiles, and 525 species of birds. Wildlife found here include endangered species like the one-horned rhinoceros and the Royal Bengal tiger, gaur, wild elephant, four-horned antelope, leopard, sloth bear, wild boar, rhesus monkey, grey langur monkey, wild dog, small wild cats, and many other smaller animals. Also found here are cobras, kraits and pythons. The swampy areas and numerous oxbow lakes of Chitwan provide a home for the marsh mugger crocodiles. In a stretch of the Narayani River are found one of the few remaining populations of the rare and endangered fish-only eating gharial, or Gangetic crocodile. Also found here is one of the world’s four species of freshwater dolphins.

The park is a great place to watch colourful birds like woodpecker, hornbill, Bengal florican and red-headed trogon. Winter birds such as waterfowls, Brahminy duck, pintails and bareheaded geese are drawn by the sanctuary of the park’s rivers. In summers, the forest is alive with nesting migrants such as the fabulous paradise flycatcher, the Indian pitta and parakeets. Winter birds include migratory birds from Siberia.

The actual program for your stay with us will be given to you on arrival at Resort. The activities are adjusted to the length of your stay, the season and present weather conditions. Naturally, it may not always be possible to follow this schedule to the minute and the circumstances may force us to alter the program at short notice. On safari in the jungle you will be accompanied by our expert naturalists who will advise on safety procedures and we request you to respect their judgment at all times. If you wish to stroll in the forest alone, a guide will have to accompany you for your safety.
